For some reason over the last few years my stock handle bar bushings have become a little worn out. The right one is especially bad (I guess I pull on that throttle too hard-HA!) and when I look down while riding it's really obvious that my bars aren't straight. I've blown it off for a while since it doesn't affect the handling at all but it really bugs me other times. I'll get to the point....
Any recommendations for a replacement set of bushings would be greatly appreciated.
The stock ones are rubber and they do wear out. Switch to polyurethane and you can get them at alot of places J&P cycles has them for like 15-20 bucks.
Do you think it really matters... J&P brand, Alloy Art, or Ness??? I'd like to get the best parts the first time, and just one time, for a while anyway.
J&P set - $19 with shipping
A/A or Ness - about $27 with free shipping on Amazon.
Thanks to you both for the help, and thanks to you both as I noticed you are both prior military... USAF E-7 at 21.5 years and counting here, and by counting, I mean counting every dang second until I retire! Too many things have changed!
I was forced out on a medical after 25 years due to injuries. I was a month or so away from becoming a company 1SG. I would have hopefully gone beyond 30 years. Yep I was a lifer.
What difference do the materials make...oem, poly, etc? I need to get some new ones for my 01 Night Train as well. What makes the Allow Art bushings the best?
