than ks guys trying to understand, im going to look under my bike
for this spot i do know the ss is in 2 parts i was not getting how
jams bike when he was lowering it did not smash his shock or compresser did not get
damaged, or how anyone else has not had a similar problem since JUST ABOUT everyone
has a ss ( sorry dayum caps button )
it seems if all air gets let out it could cause some smashing
if it was all the way up
i had a little accident with my air shock thats why im asking
also isnt there more than 1 spot to mount the compressor?

Hey Mike, I can't answer your question because I had my indy install mine, I work swing 12's and have little time off this time of year. This was his very 1st experience with the SS 2 years ago when I had him put it on my bike. I asked him how it was when he was done and he said it was one of the simplest installs he has ever done, pretty much plug and play. I have been watching this thread so I went back and asked him if he had any trouble mounting the compressor. His answer was no, not at all so I am not sure what is going on with you guys that are having trouble but I know if anyone is having trouble JD answers his phone or returns all messages and emails. Mine is an 06 but at the time only had 4K on the bike so my guy didn't even struggle with getting the bolts busted loose. He told me total install time was just under 2 hours. I might also add that since he has installed the SS on my bike he only recommends the SS to customers when they come in looking for air rides. He has since installed 4 or 5 more SS's. He will install anything but he only recommends this one for Softails and we are waiting for the bagger shocks to come out to get one on his bagger.. Anyone who I have seen having any trouble with the install of the SS, a phone call to JD had them up and going in no time, unless he has to next day a part or new system out. What happened to our "comparison" ride Dude? I would never claim my bike to be "all that" but it's always nice to see how one matches up and how it holds its own weight up against other bikes. Next Sunday, swap meet in Morris at the fairgrounds and Peotone swap meet and bike show the next weekend on the 5th of Oct. We are running out of time this year. I have been waiting for your reply on how your first ride was! It is trick to have it slammed while parked. I thought of hooking up a remote to the switch lines to operate the pump but unless i could get a memory setting im not going to.

I am trying to still figure out which switch is the rebound and which is the ride height. I have the rebound set pretty much where I like it overall but I would like to drop it when I park and be able to just raise the ride height back up and know the rebound is still good.
Definitely tricky to park it while slammed. My scoot almost fell over in one park in lot because I slammed it, got off and then realized I was a slight slope (slopping right). While slammed gotta be careful with that. Lol

..and ALWAYS turn the bars hard left.
It will stand almost balanced vertically otherwise.
A gust of wind is all it would take to roll it.
