Chronicaling this for those to come. Finally had a chance to install the headlight and tail light

Headlight - discount fleet seemed to have forgotten my order. A quick email after waiting two weeks got things moving. I got a shipping notice and the light arrive 2 days later. Install is a snap. The frenched trim ring is about $35 bucks which reduces the cost savings vs the daymaker. Make sure you get the softtail version or which ever one is right for your bike. This is a pretty good review here so I won't try to duplicate the pics or info:

Verdict so far on the headlight? Other than sluggish shipping this thing is awesome. Crazy bright compared to the stock light. I haven't been able to do enough night riding to fully appreciate it but it is awesome based on a few spins around the hood.

Radianz brake light with flashing strobe - first the bad. It took about 3 weeks to arrive and the light was packed in the box with no bubble wrap or peanut stuff. A bit odd but no visible marks. Fittment on the light mount show some very small gapping. I am going to try and remount it to make sure I didn't pinch the gasket. Not a big deal and something you only notice nose to nose with the thing.

Now the good. The install is a snap. Two screws and a plug. done. The brake light is crazy bright. I mean crazy. The strobe is also amazingly bright. Day or night this can't be missed. As one of my main goals for this project was to improve my visibility to others, I would say I got more bang for the brake light than anything else.

Given that I am running out of riding season here in the northeast it will be a few months before I can put some miles on the new rig but overall, very happy with the results and a big thanks to the forum for input and guidance.

Just curious if anyone has tried these led bulbs.http://safelightstore.com/motorcycle...ke-lights.html
they have an accelerometer built in so they only strobe when braking hard. I know i have a tendancy to start ignoring the flashing in stop and go traffic after a while. borderline seizures in traffic but like the idea of having them only activate in hard stops instead of everytime you brake.

Just wondering if they are as bright as others that are being used out there.........
