My wife has an '05 Deluxe. She plans on doing new paint over the winter. What she's also interested in doing is installing a horn from a Springer if at all possible for the old school look. One like this: http://image.motorcyclecruiser.com/f..._view.jpeg.jpg
The woman who's in charge of accessories at our local HD says this is impossible. Has anyone purchased this or a pretty similar horn and located it between the forks on an FL softail?
Thanks for any assistance. Because obviously, if mama is happy, I'll be a little bit happier.
Nothing is impossible. Does she have the auxiliary light bar on already. Just weld a tab on it and powder coat it or have it rechromed. I think I would look cool on a Delux

She does have the auxiliary light bar. I'm not in the garage looking at it right now, but I'm even wondering about drilling/tapping or using a self tapping screw or bolt and some type of adhesive so that it doesn't back itself out over time.
Here is the bracket for the horn still available from HD. Typically you use this on a springer if there is no light bar. (the light bar on the Springer already has the bracket attached.)
I'm sure with very little effort you can find a way to attach it

With a FAT wallet, nothing is impossible!!! I have an 06 Deluxe and my stock horn is a POS, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I am currently looking for a replacement as one of this winters mods. The horn I have now is usually me screaming and cursing at people who don't see me or who pulls out in front of me. Not to hijack a thread but does anyone have any ideas or the best place to go and look? I prefer to have something that is round so that it will match up with my breather on the other side of the bike.

An air horn. I recommend Howards Horn and then go to drag specialties and get the round horn cover.
Thanks for the link GS. But for the 625 beans they're asking I think we'll keep looking around for a solution to mount a springer horn to her current light bar.
