First year throttle by wire?

Default First year throttle by wire?
What was the first year that softails used throttle by wire instead of a real throttle cable like my old evo?

The first year for TBW on a Softail was the 2011 CVO Softail Convertible. The CVO Softail was the only Softail model to get this feature.

But with the addition of TBW they added Cruise Control as a standard feature on the 2011 & up CVO Softails. Just like the touring bikes which started using TBW in 2008.

That is what I thought also. Current non CVO Softails still use cables.

Thanks for the information. I hate throttle by wire in my Jeep and damned sure don't want it on a bike.

The only reason I brought this up is I was wondering what I would do if something were to happen to my 1995 Heritage Softail Classic.
