I don`t have a tach on my 07 Softail and I was wondering what the rpm`s are while cruising on the highway, i`m thinking 70, 75, and 80mph. At 80 it def feels like its buzzing along pretty good so it has to be atleast 3000rpms or so i would think.
Your stock Harley engine is good to 6200 RPMs. In 5th at 85-90 I'm doing just about 4000 RPM. And I've done it for hours and hours. I-15 to Vegas is a long lonely stretch. Hahaha

keep in mind that a stock primary is just about 1.6:1 and the stock 5th is 1.1:1 and the stock 6th is .086 your rear sprocket should be 70 tooth.
