ok, have been going through old threads on here and listening to you tube vids of the rush slipons.....with an un-modified motor, would you suggest the 1.75 or 2" baffles? I've read that the 2.25 sounds too loud, and I'd lose power, as they are too big with no mod done, so which of the other two is best? Again, don't want overly loud.
thanks for your help!
Back in07 when it 96''ers came out Rush sold mostly 2''ers.
then somewhere they changes and said go with 1 3/4''ers for stock motors..
I did the 2;s cause I knew I was adding cams in 08.
Thinking now with the 103's, wouldn't surprise me if they are now recommending the 2's again.
I don't know???
They have great service and Techs by phone and will answer all Ur ???'s
least they have for me..
Their service is top notch. Before and after the sell.
Just installed the 1.75's this afternoon. Rode it for a bit afterward. The sound is perfect. Deep sound that's the right level and then when you roll on the throttle you get a nice loud sound you want from a Harley. No loud popping on decel either. I am very happy with the 1.75's on my 103.
Sammi, in the QOTR forum says she loves her American Custom slip ons....any experience with them? the video I listened to just didn't sound that great, which probably wasn't the pipes fault.
My hubbs has cycle shack, and then I think the Screaming Eagles do sound pretty loud, are they still?
Oct1949, thanks for the video link, although that one isn't working, I did listen to several of them last night, the 1.75 and the 2" on the heritages on YT.
Medic, glad you are liking yours too!
Idling the Rush seem ok but when he twisted the throttle, they sounded kind of harsh. I think they can be tamed with baffles. Here are a couple of videos with rinehart's. One is on a Heritage and the other is on a Fat Boy
I don't like the distortion on these videos when they rev the engines....so hard to tell what it would be really like outside. I'm sticking to slip ons for now though Prot....thanks for the options!
