Again, the level of disrespect and immaturity just floors me. Who really cares who posts what, when they post it, how they post it, no matter how many times someone else has already posted it? How can that possibly bother someone? Why does that cause some to reply and or to attack or to make fun of others? I just don't get it. I honestly never thought or even imagined there were so many grown men who rides Harley's who act in such a way on the face of the Earth let alone so many in one place. Is everyone here like this? Hell no! I have met some great people here, some who have become close friends. I also agree it always seems to be the same people over and over again. I just don't get it. I never encountered this issue until I joined this website/forum, ever, anywhere!!!

It must be how I was raised and where I was raised. This behavior, this level of disrespect would seriously get a person hurt if they were to walk into a group of bikers and talk like that, where and how I was raised. That's why I have never seen it or heard it until I joined this forum. I'm NOT being a tough guy and I am not condoning that type of behavior but it would happen none the less. I've seen it time and time again. That's why all of this is so foreign to me. I have a pretty boring life but never have I thought "let me go sit at the computer for awhile and make fun of people"!

I started a thread 4 or 5 weeks ago and I bet 7 or 8 out of every 10 of the replies was just horse ****, bullying and immature. I had one guy make the comment that I "exaggerate" in my posts and I assume he was referring to oil changes and the SS. This guy knows nothing about me and not only that, he has never done oil changes that way and he does not have the SS. How can one make that comment and have no personal experience in those 2 areas? It blows my mind. If you see a thread pop up, one that you have seen many times before and have commented many times before, why open it up again if it bothers you? Why that would even bother anyone is beyond me but to open it, read it and then have it annoy or bother you and make negative comments is ridiculous. Now load up and attack me for this reply, I'm done, I've had my say so let the negative and immature comments begin against me. I have come to expect it here, sadly.

I agree with you, but I think on the internet , we just ignore it, in person is another story, but the internet has two problems, first it allows people to be anonymous and brings the jerk/child inside , second it can also be misunderstood, I am sure I thought once or twice that I was funny and someone thought I was a jerk. so we have to allow for some of that.

But I agree with you, people get worked up sometimes and like to give lectures, we all make those mistakes.. even me

My opinion is we have some inferior complex types on this forum & to flame or down someone probably makes them feel like a big man & better about themselves. In actuality it makes them look like an ***.

 

2 More cents, you know there is also shocks on the front and upgrading them is a lot cheaper and brings a HUGE improvement in the ride quality.
I had Ricor Intiminators installed and the difference to the handling of the bike was incredible.and it is a bullet proof product and nothing would go wrong in it...

 

People spend a lot more on things that do nothing for their bike other than just make it "look" the way they want it to. To me the cost is minimal for an air ride system considering all the things it can do in regards to what some chrome piece or custom paint job will do for you. When I have been given permission, I will have one and I won't be asking anyone on hdforum their opinion. I've learned over years of reading these forums and being on the internet that is just pointless. You are looking for confirmation that the purchase is a good one for you... You won't get that from anyone else other than you buying it and seeing how things work out for you. If you don't feel it's worth the risk... You won't buy it! Just being able to pull up, get off and hit the button and watch it slam would be worth the price to me... For others that's a stupid reason... I don't recall asking them so it doesn't matter!!!
