Default Heritage bags on a fatboy

I have an 07 fatboy with a detachable backrest, and want to put a set of 05 heritage bags on with quick disconnect. I'm planning on going with easy brackets. Do I need to go with the brackets for heritage bags(HRT) or with the fatboy brackets for large bags?

I can't help you with the bracket questions, but I want to point out that if you have stock pipes there might not be enough clearance for heritage bags.

I have the quick release bags on my Heritage. The bracket is for the Heritage bags only. I would use that bracket. you will have issues with the stock exhaust as mentioned earlier. Also it uses the stock passenger footpeg mounts for support. If you have changed out the footpegs to floor boards you will have an issue.

Another issue to keep in mind. The Frame/Fender rails are identical size and shape and interchangeable between the Fatboy and Heritage however they are drilled differently to accommodate the saddlebags of the two models.

Thanks for the replies, but I got the answer from the horses mouth at Great Cycle Gear. Thr correct answer is the hertige kit for a 2002 heritage. Mounts and rails are at 9 1/4" on and should bolt right up once I relocate the turn signals.

It's threads like this that make me wonder why we even try to help people.
