Default Quick Detach Saddlebag Conversion Kit

G'day forum,

I'm looking to install the Quick Detach Saddlebag Conversion Kit part # 90200641 so I can get away for a few days around Christmas time. I ride a 2003 Heritage Classic and the fitment guide says it will fit, no problems there.
However my questions are;
1) as I already have quick detach hardware for the pillion back rest / luggage rack do I need additional hardware just for the saddlebag conversion kit? ....and
2) will the saddlebag conversion kit fit with the right hand side chrome tool box fitted?

I appreciate any advice you can provide.

Thanks.

I have the quick detatch bags on my Heritage. They attach at 3 points. The two docking points and the passenger foot pegs. If the tool box is in the way of those, it will not work.

Yes, there is a kit they sell that will work with the detach points you currently have for the sissy bar. It comes with new (longer) bolts and the correct spacers/docking points. You will reuse your quick release sissy bar's current docking points (putting them on the new bolts along with the new docking points for the bags). Just put this setup on my Train.

I have them on my Fatboy. Easy to get on and off.

These appear to be for "hard" bags. I think the kit being referred to is this one...
