looking for a speedo for a 2003 fxstd 100 year anniversary...any help available? mine works only 50% of the time. drops out, clicks on and off...thanks
Check your connections to the speedo for corrosion, grounds, and broken wires. Also check your battery connections. Speedos are available on eBay. Just about anything for a Softail from 2000 to 2005 will work for you.

Thanks man...didn't know all those may be a possibility...somehow the self cancelling turn indicators are tied in to the speedo and I must try to find the right one. I have had a tough time. They are running about $450 for a new one, then I don't know how I'd get the mileage back on. Whew!
Had the same problem with intermittent speedo problems on my 03 Deuce back in 06. It turned out to be voltage regulator.
Thanks Jack...hmm, regulator seems to work. I tested it and the battery stays up okay. I also pulled and cleaned the sensor. Damn thing. The needle pops up and sometimes sticks, other times it does nothing at all, then the digital miles shows and then blinks off. Then occasionally if I smack it the thing works for a while...New one will cost round $450...can't seem to find a used one either.
This past spring Our bike had slow cancelling turns at times, not every time. Wrench said probably need to clean the tranny sensor or replace it. He said they get a dirty film and cant send proper sig. On our 07 they are a biddy to get to so I though I'd wait till fall storage to do it.
What was weird when I change tranny fluid this summer I went back to 20-50 syn oil instead of the GL and after a few hundred miles, Problem gone.
i have my factory out of my 04 deuce, not sure what the difference is from the 100th anniversary to and 04 is but flip me 10.00 to buy a box of soda and you pay shipping and its yours.
Mine was doing the same thing last week. Turned out the previous owner had replaced the circuit breaker with a fuse, and the fuse had a tiny crack that allowed it to open and close. Caused by vibration, no doubt.

Bob, thanks for the quick reply. I can't believe my good fortune if it will work. Is there any way you can send a picture? Man this has been a nightmare trying to find the correct speedo. And, how many miles are showing on it? I am fairly new to the forum and can't navigate the side very well yet but am learning. Feel free to email me at vinny@cowisp.net or call my cell at 970-218-7989 Sure would appreciate it. I live in the Fort Collins area of Colorado. Thanks much.

Larry, thanks for the tip. Where is that circuit breaker? If I knew where to check that would be helpful.
