Default turn sigs

[quote=oct1949;11976895]U havent said anything about Ur turn sigs. Are they cancelling OK or taking longer sometimes to cancel after a turn?.

Theirs a speedo sensor in the tranny that can cause problems with both. (turn sigs and speedo).
heres some reading U can do to learn more.

This past spring Our bike had slow cancelling turns at times, not every time. Wrench said probably need to clean the tranny sensor or replace it. He said they get a dirty film and cant send proper sig. On our 07 they are a biddy to get to so I though I'd wait till fall storage to do it.

What was weird when I change tranny fluid this summer I went back to 20-50 syn oil instead of the GL and after a few hundred miles, Problem gone.

Thanks for the link man. Will read it after I get this off to you. Yes, my turn sigs fail to cancell when the speedo is not working which is about 50% of the time she's running. I have located and removed the sensor to clean it but it weren't too dirty. Didn't make a difference though. I'm running the syn Red line Vtwin tranny fluid but it don't even show a weight on the container. At times the digital miles shows and then blinks off. Sometimes when I smack the top of the speedo while driving it starts working. I've had it out twice and am sure getting tired of the problem. $450 for a new one but Deuce parts are hard to come by anyway. Well, I better get to reading your link...thanks again.

Where is that circuit breaker?
Under the seat on the fender. On mine, the fuse with the orange/white lead is the speedo/turn signal one. If yours has a circuit breaker, I would replace it with a 15 amp fuse. If that works, then the circuit breaker was your problem. Go get a new 15 amp circuit breaker. They're about $5 at an auto parts store.
