Amazing...when I bought my Heritage back in 2004 and ordered up a custom ghost flame paint set to go with it, I had the EXACT same thing on my tank upon delivery...a hand print! Went through two sets before settling on the stock and getting my $$ back. this is just unbelievable that 9 yrs later some d-bag still can't get quality control correct.
I did this exact swap. Had a '12 Slim and then traded it for a '13 BO. The Slim handled better, no question, especially in corners. But the BO feels more planted overall. If the Slim had a fatter rear end, it would be the perfect bike. I am a big fan of the fat rear end look, that's why I traded in the end.
The Breakout is a flashy muscle bike that looks like it will eat the pavement and leave everyone in the dust. Look at the paint jobs the Moco tossed on it: flash and glitz. The thing is freaking beautiful. It looks to me like a finished product that requires no mods. It achieves exactly what it sets out to do and that is to impress.
The Slim is a very understated and nostalgic ride that to me looks like a riders bike. It is a bike that is about as open a canvas as you could get regarding mods. The FL front end gives it a bulldog like stance that indicates grit and toughness.
Per my sig you can tell which direction I went this year.
At the end of the day I think I can achieve what I want with my Slim and keep it looking as intended as oposed to the Breakout.
I think that exhaust is sweet, how about a clearer side pic?
Thanks. I am new to this form so I am still figuring it out. Sorry if I mess up. I am trying to figure out how to add a signature like you guys have, and add a picture to every post. Ps I have been following your riser project. Your bike looks badass. I put fat bob bars on mine. This is exhaust is by akropovic. Can we post videos on this site?
For a signature image, go to the top of the page on the left you will see User CP. Then on the left of the next page you will see Signature. As for posting videos, you can only put links, so upload it to somewhere like youtube, then link it here.
How does the shape of the Fatbob bars compare to the stock ones?
