I like the hard bags but they all seem to have the damn ugly brackets. They come off fairly easy? I will be doing leek end trips and bags are a necessity but I want to be able to quickly strip them off when I get where I'm going and leave at camp/ hotel, whatever. Been looking at leather soft bags as they don't have the stupid looking brackets but you also lose the lock ability....I was going for quick disconnect everything.

I'm thinking about making some bags for my Bones (I do leather), but how do your bags attach? Besides the two bolts which makes sense, assuming they are the same bolts on the fender struts I'm thinking of. But what about the brackets to keep them out of the wheel? Do you have pics of those or maybe where I can get them? I've never cared for bags but I take my bike to work often and the bags would be very convenient.

Rip, HD bags have a bracket that has two tubes that go over the bolts, and the bracket goes down to hold the bags away from the fender, it attaches to another bracket that bolts where the passengers foot rest are.
I used to have an extra pair, let me look see I I can find them.
You could make up some pretty easy.
On my bags I made a piece of flat metal inside the fender with nuts welded on so that the bags can be bolted on real quick.
If you would like I can take some photos.
