Default i want to space out

my 3" fwd controls out about a 1/2 inch on both sides. what i am thinking of doing is buying a used set of mounts from someone and piggy backing them on. so my questions are....

1 has anyone does this?

2 would i run into any problems with the brake master cylinder or lever? or with the shifter/shift rod length?

3 does anyone have a set of plates laying around they would like to get rid of?

Thanks
Bob

I put the Arlen Ness 3" kit on my bike and it moved my feet out about .5" it feels like more though. If I was you I would just get two pieces of .5" thick aluminum cut to same size as your adapters and drill the holes in same places then get longer bolts. Probably cheaper than trying to find a used set. Everything should bolt up just fine. The break line and shifter lever will be ok.

Bob,

If I understand correctly what you're trying to do, we actually have a kit the does just that. Ours moves the peg out 1". You can use them with extended forward controls also. You shouldn't need to do anything with your current shift linkage setup or brake line/brake pedal.

Here's a link to the kit on our website:

Hope this helps.
