Ok, I am a little aggravated now. After experiencing the problem associated with installing the expensive Harley Davidson windshield on my '07 Deluxe I came here to see if I was the only one having the issue. I was glad to see I wasn't and was also glad to see there were options.
Now for my aggravation. I go to the local HD dealer and tell them I want the deflectors for the FLSTN and he tells me they won't fit my '07 Deluxe because they were only for up to '96 FLSTN which were the Heritage Classics. Now I am new to Harley, this being my first, but I hardly see the difference in the Heritage and the Deluxe other than some cosmetics, and I am not too sure they have changed a lot on the FL front ends since '96 but I could be wrong. Granted I haven't examined them closely.
So, now I am stuck with a $400 windshield I'll probably never use because to me it just ruins the whole pleasure of riding the bike. Man, if I tell my old sport bike riding buddies about this one I will for sure never live down buying my Harley. They already give me enough crap as it is
Unless someone here can tell me the parts guy is full of $hit like I suspect he is.
I also agree with Tommy M. After I added the windshield to my Deluxe, got some really bad buffeting to the old head. Added the HD chrome wind deflectors, and have been up to 85 with almost no buffeting. Well worth the $$$'s.

I ordered mine from Kuryaken for about the same price. No rattles and I noticed some reduction in helmet buffeting. Even more reduction when I removed the visorfrom myhelmet. I like mine and would make the purchase again. I was told by the dealer that the same company that makes HD chrome accessories also make Kuryaken. The quality is very good.
I have a set of Memphis shades lowers on my '07 FXSTC and thats only because I couldnt find anything listed at HD to fit my applcation. Not perfect, but a big improvement.
Get them. At $66 bucks it's a bargain compared to the $120 I spent on the ones for my VTX. Also, as others have stated; it really does eliminate most of the helmet buffeting.
