I put on the HD detachable windshield on my 06 Fatty so I could ride all winter and not freeze. At 6'2" the top of the shield is at my nose level which is where everyone said it should be. But at about 75mph the buffeting of wind on my helmet made it impossible to see. Someone said "stick yer feet up beside the gas tank and see if it helps and if it does get the fork deflectors." So I did and it helped. Put on the chrome HD deflectors and now can cruise as fast as I want with no buffeting. For me they work great and I like the look of them so I just leave them on even when the windshield is off. Gives it a fatter look. Jim
I have a set of Memphis shades lowers on my '07 FXSTC and thats only because I couldnt find anything listed at HD to fit my applcation. Not perfect, but a big improvement.
