Maybe they changed it for 09, but I spent the better part of an hour this afternoon yanking and trying to pull the f$%king thing out of there...no joy......I am cutting the ***** out tomorrow......with aflamethrower....[/quote]
..... ..... Mine came out hard also , there's a couple of small bolts that hold it in , near the front, on sides. That's what I was sayin too .
oh I can see where they would be now on the above pics.....how do you get to them? I guess I need to yank the crossover off? I think I will do it with a candle burning....that'll get the rubber piece from hell off of it...
I think I may have made a mistake in my earlier post. I don't remember if there is a zip tie, some retaining rings, or some bolts holding the rubber piece in.
I do know that I pulled mine out when the crossover tube was disconnected and the tank was higher so I had more room to work with it.
The pic below my be useful...you can see some little tabs hanging off the front of the rubber gasket.
Thanks Kevin. I will look into removing it in the morning.....thanks a lot...
I tried BOTH versions of the TTI's today, but I only put kilometers on them, not miles ......I took video and everything......my internet blows here though so I wont be able to upload until later (getting new fibre internet in a week or so I hope)....On the Hooker there is no way you are getting the TTIs in with the baffle, so I yanked it out.....first one I installed was the wavy one (W258 I think)......it sounded good....didnt take it for a spin....just a quick idle.....then I installed the flat one.....took it for a spin....definitely a little quieter, and my butt dyno may have felt a bit more torque.....came home and was going to swap out again, but let my exhaust cool.....and thats when I realised that the flat TTI was in there for good..lol....good thing it was my favorite sounding one.....I am sure if I heat my exhaust up I can get it out again...I really want to go for a spin with the wavy one....more to follow with a proper post and vids coming....
Thanks a lot for all the excellent support...Dawn is now my new favourite customer service lady......she laughs at my dumb jokes...
T
Dawn is good people.
I would give the W a try, 99% of the time they produce more power than the Q.
Wait....where? Do I have to lift the tank further? My crossover line is maxed right now, I cant lift the tank any higher.
.......Yuuup, I had my cross over Line off , when I did it .. make sure you don't bend the back tank tab when you Lift the Front of the Tank , It's a hassel , but I had to change my cross over line anyway 2 1/2 in. tank lift. and I raised the Rear 1/2 in. last weekend.

Ok, I will take the tank off once my fuel gets low....thanks
