Installed A Dakota Digital Speedo..My Initial Review
They tell you to set your mileage before the first 100 miles. When I went into that screen it already had the correct mileage, so I verified it and moved on.
This speedo tells you voltage, oil temp, rpms, gear indicator, speed, etc. It has high warning for oil temp and rpm, and a low warning for voltage. It also lets you set them where you want. The redline for the tach is adjustable.
The one part that did not work right out of the box is the range. You have to fill the bike, then ride till it is 1/4 or less on fuel. Then refuel. The instructions say not to refuel until you have less than 1/4 tank. I have not yet reached that point, so for now this only displays "range".
It is very easy to read in the light or dark. Overall it is great, and I really don't feel like I am missing anything. It looks good on the bike, and functions well too. Here are a few pics.

I have a question about the DD gauges - do you find them too 'busy' while riding to find the information you're looking for?
I really like the functionality they offer, but it seems that everything they offer sort of blends together with little delineation between various readouts. Then again, I've never seen them in person, nor any shots while the bike is in motion.
Thanks!

It wasn't bad at all. The tach takes a little getting used to, but you can also set it to where it shows the tach on top, and a readout of the rpms on the bottom.
To answer your question, no I don't find it too "busy" after using it.
