If you had to buy a brake line you bought the wrong kit. The one for a FXS with Abs works without making brake lines and the back wheel doesn't have to come off to do the job . I did it without doing that and didn't make any brake lines. Sorry you had trouble.

Everything fit nicely with mine. Just getting to the ABS unit sucked. No mods required The only thing I don't care for is how the plates stick out beyond the frame.. but, not horrible
Wow! That's a lot of work to do the brake line. I added the AN 3" ext to mine also. The hardest part was accessing the break line on the rear ABS. If you pop off the rear inner fender and roll it out of the way(it won't come out), pull some slack on the brake lines from the rear caliper, then unbolt the ABS housing (one Allen bolt) it will come down and out with plenty of room to access the line bolt. I think it took approx 1/2 hour on that part of the job. Sorry you had so much issue getting at it.
I really want to do the Arlen Ness 3" forward extension.
I have a 2013 Breakout without ABS so I hear it's not too difficult of an install.
I looked it up and Amazon said it will NOT fit the Breakout but obviously it will since a few of y'all have done it.
Can someone provide me with the part number they used?
Any tips or modification?
What's a good way to bleed the brake?
Thanks
