I got a thunder heart stand alone ignition to run my carb using the crank sensor. The coil and module bolt together but you can't find a cover to fit over both. So I separated them and machined a custom bracket to allow the use of a standard coil cover.
The horn is just a normal horn from HD. The cover was a special order out of the HD book. I believe it was called a "smooth face" or something like that. I got this one because my air filter cover is round and smooth as well.
I'm almost finished with the wiring. See picture below.
I'm going to get it titled and insured then take the tins off and do the final paint job.
Regarding the title...I talked with the state licensed rebuilder again...since I kept everything Harley he changed his previous advice and said to go ahead and go through the rebuild process to get it titled as a "harley" instead of a "custom build" bike. Hopefully this will add value and make it easier to insure.
