I brought some Samson true dual exhaust system off eBay for a 06 deluxe it came with all the parts but no instructions. Anybody know were I can get some instructions with pictures? Any info would be help full.
Put your shift linkage and coil bracket on before you put the rear cylinder pipe on. Squirt the lower pipe bracket mounting holes on the frame with some PB Blaster & let those bolts soak over night before trying to unbolt them. Tighten up the right side level, then the left to match. Buy new manifold nuts and put some anti-seize compound on the threads before tightening them down. Buy the regular HD exhaust crush sleeves. The Screaming Eagle sleeves are cheaper and easier to install, but do NOT seal as well with the Samsons.
I just took a set of fishtails off my Deluxe 2days ago. Rather simple but time consuming. Figure 6-8 hours.

Just a helpful hint tighten everything loosely first especially the U-pipe on because most issues I have had with customers installing them were all because they tightened the rear pipe (u-pipe) tightly and then it throws the crossover pipe out of alignment and the muffler as well.
so I am installing mine on my 06 heritage softail FLST and the problem I'm coming across is on "the driver side" it seems as though I can not push the slip on's on far enough for the bracket holes to line up. About how far should they go onto the header pipes? I get it about an inch but I am still an inch from the holes? Could possibly I got sent 36" or do that not matter?
thanks in advance
