Harley03joe , it bolts up on back just like deluxe seat . Redneck, your not confused, that is possible on my 05 deluxe. I dont know if 08 deluxe is the same , i havent seen the 08 yet. this is what i did, i purchased a 02 springer seat (used )with rail , tall backrest pad & passenger pillion . 1st I took off rail from my 05 deluxe & put on the springer one with the bakrest pad, went for ride on bike, it was better but couldnt get back far enough in 05 deluxe seat for backrest to fully hit all of my back. sooooo i replaced the seat too. what a difference. the springer seat is soooooo much more confortable. hope that explains. Also, if you decide to replace everything like i did, DONT buy the passenger pillion for the springer . it wont work on the deluxe because the bottom of it is not cut out like the stock one for deluxe, the luggage rack is in the way. but, the wide passenger pillion for deluxe fits right on.the stock one for deluxedoesnt . Hey Everybody,

I looked thru this post quickly and sorry if I missed it.......but will the Springer rail and low rider backrest (part numbers 52687-97 and 52826-97) fit the Deluxe 2007 with no problems???

I found the rail for $120 and the pad for $72.

Also, is this set-up adjustable??

Thanks for any help.

Mark

Springer rail bolts right on. Bonus is that the fender mounting plate for the thumbscrews is chrome instead of painted black. It is a 10 minute job. Looks great.

Thanks for the follow-up.
You installed therail on your stock '08 Deluxe seat correct?
I pulled my seat on my '08Sunday and I noticed that the center of the stockrail screws into the seat with one screw. The picture of the rail posted by Harley03joe looks like the center has a flat plate with two holes a few inches apart.
What did yours look like?
Sorry to be a pain in the ***.
Thanks again for the follow-up.

Cant say I notice the seat being a tight fit to be honest...Might change my stock Deluxe seat for the Springer one as yours...
The Springer Seat is way more comfortable and the backrest sits right in your back. On the Deluxe seatthe backrest isn't as noticable because of the contour of the seat it self.

Well RednekF350I Got My V-Rail From V-Twin Part # Is 31-0514 Cost $99.85, It's Not A Harley Part, And The Harley Back Rest Pads Short Or Tall Won't Fit It, But The V-Rail Does Look Good Without The Back Rest, So Im Trying To Get A Springer Seat And Rail To Fit My Heritage With Side Mount Bolts, Not Sure If It Will Work But I'LL Try It, If I Find A Deat At The Right Price.
I'm Still Looking
And That Is The Rest Of The Story

Harley03Joe,

Since the backpad doesn't fit, do you have one to sell? I bought the HD rail, but need the backpad.

Thanks,

Risa
