good deal on figuring out how to make that front end work. as it goes for the 18 inch wheel the tire would be a lower profile so there isn't that much of a tire height difference. the air ride will deff be a good addition to eat up that gap. I opted for a swing arm mounted fender and spring seat on my build
That road king front end looks sick. I may have to do that swap. As for the rsd fender, I had that fender on my train but I didn't like slamming my bike on the ground to make it look good. Good luck with the build. When your done I have a 07 night train that could use some cool parts put on
Here is the link to the nacelle kit we are using. We are going with the gloss black kit, a chrome one is available also. Like I mentioned before the trees need to be swapped out with a fatboy or deluxe tree so you get the mounts or fab it to your current tree http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...dlight-nacelle
Here is the risers that the kit says is required, I ordered these also since the Street slammer bars (For Sale by the way!) that were on it had built in risers. The risers look like regular 1" risers so I assume those would work and these would not be needed. Also if your going to run taller risers then the steel riser cover would not be able to be used. http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...-train-nacelle
here is the headlamp we are running http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/led-headlamp

A Bitchin Seat is on order for the RSD fender, with the cost of that seat I am tied to this fender and seat combo. A swing arm mounted fender and spring seat is not an option for this bike. The stock profile for the 17" rim was a 200/55/r17. Do you think a 200/55r18 would cause rubbing issues or is it mandatory to run a 50 profile tire. I have a powervision for the bike and I believe I can correct speedo ratio with the PV so that wouldn't be an issue for me
I am using DNA 60 spoke laced wheels. the final product pic that is on this thread is another HD forum member. here is a link to his thread https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...ain-build.html
you could ask him but they look like DNA Fatspokes
here is where I ordered mine, from the phone calls he was very helpfull and would do buisness with him again. havent got the delivery of the wheels yet and it is ahead of schedule but the deal in my opinion is not complete but I am happy so far http://streetcustommotorcycle.com/Wheels2.html

Exactly what I was going to say, bigger wheel will just mean lower profile. Best order them shotgun shocks
So, I got home from work today and this greeted me at the door
So I got to work unpacking and making sure everything was there. I had the wheels sent disassembled since I will have to PC the rims and hubs and need to get the spoke electroplated.
Then I started mocking up the nacelle kit to ensure it is all going to fit with the trees. So far so good, I am very pleased on how this is coming together
