I get a lot of tech help on the forum, but one of my favorite thing to look thru are changes everyone is making to their bikes. Only things I planned on doing this winter was fixing some screw-ups a local shop made when repairing the bike after an accident last spring - reshaping/ cover solo seat and chrome rear pulley.
Well, decided to do a few extra changes. Posting from phone, so I can only post one pic per post, so I will have several posts.
Finally got so jealous of all the coil relocations out there, I broke down and installed one. I love how this kit opens up area behind the rear cylinder. The Taylor Race wires were too long and pressed up against the tank, so I painted a small bracket and dropped the coils about 1 1/2". Would have liked to use the Ness horn cover I had in my sig pic, but could not get things to fit, so I added a HD axle cover on stock bolt to add a little chrome touch. I had tank lift that was not installed, so I tried that before the bracket - it helped, but I just can't get used to my bike with the lift installed. I like it on other's bikes, but not mine, so I pulled it and went with bracket.

Installed new Figure Machine vision air cleaner. Really like their stuff - have one of their points covers - and the Vision AC is real nice and clean setup. I know I will catch some flack, but I went ahead and added a Boyesen Powerwing while installing the AC. I know people will call it "snake oil", but everyone that has tried it gave positive reviews, so why not? For as much as most of us have into performance mods, and as little as the Powerwing cost, I'll give it a try. Plus, Boyesen has a very good rep in motocross racing.
Still waiting on seat, but here is a pic while it was getting new foam. This is the mod I have been most excited about - always wanted a solo seat and the one the shop made during repairs was a POS. Finish is going to be all black with ostrich on side panel and regular leather on seat surface, with a discreet HD bar & shield stitched onto top of backrest.
Pulled foot controls and sent back to Jaybrake for repair - if I tightened pegs tight enough so they would not rotate while riding, the brake and shift lever would not move freely. Jaybrake rebored some gaskets and sent back. Still need to mount, but appear to be working properly when moving levers by hand.
Going to pull wheel pulley and get rechromed - bad chrome job from shop. Thinking of pulling rear fender struts and license plate frame and powder coating glossy black.
Lastly, ordered some new apes thru Torch Industries. Bars shipped yesterday and should be here early next week. I may have a very nice set of custom apes for sale here soon - 17" high, 1.5" diameter, crushed tubes - never seen a set like these on another bike. Here are the ones I have coming:
