I just got an '05 Deuce that has the extended forward controls already installed. I'm 5' 10" and it's a bit of a reach. I adjusted the shifter to get it a little closer and it fits fine now, but the rear brake pedal is just a little long for me. Is there any way to adjust the angle to get the pedal a little closer? I can't see anyway to adjust it but I'm hoping there's a trick....
Okay but I have this same problem when I sit on a wide glide and a few other models....duece fits me perfect but a few others leave me too stretched out....I am 5'6"
I don't have the stock controls and the chrome extended ones are pretty nice so I'm trying to see if there's a way to adjust the brake pedal a little as it's only a little bit long.
Like I said ,love all harley's but FAT BOY fit's me perfect I'm 5'10' so no problem with handlebar or floorboard's I know sound's goofy but it fit's like a fitted suit!! But not to knock your height or bike but you need to get a fix as soon as you can, heaven forbid if you have to stop like I do in big city!!! Some time's I'm locking up both tire's because of idiot's on phone's or tourist's, you may need to hit that back brake in a split second, I would hate to be fishing for mine when you need it. PURPLE HAZE
Look closely at the rod between the brake pedal and the master cylinder. It can be adjusted some. If you still need a little pedal height, you might be able to make up the difference by drilling a hole in the pedal and using one of the bolt-on pads intended for an older shovelhead.
Thanks Guys! The rod on the extended controls has a split ring on it and does not appear to have any adjustment. It looks like it will take some modifications to change the pedal height. You would think they would have either threaded the rod or something to allow some adjustment........I'll keep messing with it to see if I can figure something out>
