Default Anyone using Lowered Progressive Monotubes?

I've got an '06 Night Train and currently running a 21" front wheel, Just pulled my front end apart to have my lowers pc'd black and I purchased the progressive monotubes lowering kit. Any suggestion on either setting it at 1" or 2" lowered? I kind of really only want to set it once and be done with it but I'm afraid that 2" will reduce the travel too much and make for a jarring ride. My priorities are performance, looks, & comfort (there has to be some!)- in that order.

Also if anyone has any pics of their bike with this kit in them please post pics! Thanks.

I have the monotubes and when I had them installed I went -2". It was to tight, almost like a sport bike suspension so I backed off and now I am only at -1" and it rides much better but still a lil tight but not bad enough to make me want to tear it down again to go back to stock.

I agree with Tbone. I went the full 2" and was way to firm on the small bumps and tore it down and now at 1" its still a little firm, but I'll live with it. BTW - I tried the lower springs and Ricors and the Monotubes are a better set up.

Thx guys. Does the 1" drop kit equate to really 1"?

I had the monotubes for awhile. Put the spacers for the 2" drop but it looked more like 1.5" to be honest. Compared to stock it was a day and night difference. The front end definitely felt more planted and not as floaty. As many bad roads we have here I only bottomed out once from a big pothole.

I dropped mine down one inch. At first I was glad because it was pretty stiff, but now it has loosened up and I dont think I'd mind.

Good info on here. I have this kit just waiting for the temp to go up some so I can install this kit. Was told the -2 is more like -1.5.
