Deciding which Metzeler 120/70-21 ??
Hey folks,
for those of you who have experience with Metzeler tires, they make a 120/70-21 M880 front tire in two different load ratings. A 62 and a 68 load rating. From what I read, the 68 has additional reinforcement in the sidewall.
My questions is this: Will I see a difference in ride quality if I use one versus the other? My bike now has an 86 & up WideGlide front end, stock length, spoked rim, 35 degrees of rake in the neck and 5 more in the trees. It's a softail frame with 3" of stretch in the backbone and pretty much bare bones 'accessories' on the bike. I probably weigh 205 in full riding gear. Bike is not setup for 'two-up' riding right now.
Looking for excellent strength in the front tire, but don't want to be putting a cinder block on there.
Appreciate your input from anybody who has experience with tire ratings and ride differences please.
