Most of the exhaust manufacturers will say the regular Softail fitments don't work, but the reality is, most will fit. You just have to try it and find out, or search to see if anyone else has done it yet.
So HD actually uses a slightly different frame on the Breakout? Interesting.

Evidently, D&D found that their exhaust won't clear either that or the oil line, because I doubt they would have engineered a kit specifically for the Breakout if their system for the regular SoftTails could be coaxed into fitting.

I wouldn't be so sure. V&H has parts that are specific for the Breakout, yet their standard Softail exhausts fit as well. The pipes on my bike don't fit according to them, yet they bolted right on.

Here is the exhaust. I picked up the bung adapters and hopefully get to try and bolt these on his bike tomorrow. Will update tomorrow.

You know when the Rocker came out they said all the pipes wouldn't fit them too but many do. You just have to modify the mounting bracket. The rear of the frame is wider than the other softails but not all that much..

Thanks man. Dealer had to replace some chrome pieces on his bike so I rode up there the day before and dropped off the exhaust then went with him and had them sneak the exhaust on for his birthday. He was pretty surprised and happy with it.
