that's funny- it was like $30 right? I just ordered one of them and will see what kind of modding it takes. I'm planning on wrapping it with carbon fiber to match my tank dash strip and fork tube covers- so any cuts / grinds will be covered.
What's also funny is DS lists the part as specifically fitting the Blackline, Breakout and CVO Breakout. .p
I saw your other post. the ebay seller refunded my money. I cut the top off of mine and it didn't look good. you can make it work with a lil trimming tho. the biggest problem is the cover angles up towards the top and that's why it doesn't fit
Same thing happened last year on my 14 BO. Had to use the key for a couple of weeks till I could get to the dealer. What pissed me off is the dealer wouldn't even warranty it.
Thread is over a year stale but the issue is not. I just noticed my selector switch is really loose like ready to fall off. So all BO and Blackline owners should be checking this set screw as it will more than likely happen at some point on most bikes. it is a 3/32nd alan wrench size. get to set screw with switch in acc or on position.
They must've stopped using locktite at the factory sometime, cause over 100,000 miles combined on two different Rockers, and it never loosened on me.

Alright thanks for the heads up on that. I thought it might work if I flip the finger latch 180 so the tang is pointing outwards. but even if i gotta retrim or reshape no biggie as I'm going to wrap it in CF.

...and DO NOT crank down on that little set screw too much!

Ask me how I know...
RIGHT!! That's why we use Loctite Blue, instead of a heavy hand, or "I can sense torque without a torque wrench". Stripping that screw is VERY easy because of its tiny size.

I used a drop of blue Loctite ... and I tightened the set screw so much that I crushed the ignition switch barrel... I could get the damn key into the switch, but ****-all to turning it, lol. I rode it around like that for a week - just the fork lock to secure the bike. I was afraid to let the damn thing out of my sight. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a new switch from HD. In addition to the switch (which takes time to get because HD keys it your key set), a special spanner socket is required to swap the switch out. f'n yay....
NSR- Wow that sucked - sorry to hear that. Thanks for the heads up, i just snugged it up to where it was not wiggling around and let the locktite do the work to keep it from backing out. So much for the good 'ol days of hardened steel ignition barrels. Damn cheap China parts..
