I had to use a pulley spacer and axle spacers from here www.vulcanworks.net to get an 08' wheel to fit my 06'. was an 1/8" difference in the hub. also had to get a set of pulley bolts for 08'. The 08" bolts were 1/8" longer than my 06' pulley bolts.

Umm.... maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet... but how do you propose to align the brake rotor if you space the wheel to the right? Unless there is a 1/8" gap in the rubber isolator/frame connection on the brake caliper, I don't think moving the rotor over is a good idea...

I think you should measure the hub width for the original and the new wheel for starters.

I believe the general approach, as opposed to considering your pulley alignment a 'fixed' point is to make sure the brake caliper is in the correct position then adjust the pulley with a spacer and make the wheel spacers the proper size so that the wheel retains the rotor alignment.

There is also, usually, some flexibility in the location of the belt on the main drive pulley... check yours to see if it is wider than your belt and maybe the entire 1/8" can be taken up with wheel spacers and the belt will still be on the pulley.

With the pulley aligned the tire is offset to the left about an 1/8 inch.

I would have to adjust everything an 1/8" I would assume. The brake the spacers and a pulley spencer.
