i'm not an engineer but if it recommended to use a certain fuel why wouldn't you? do you use a lesser weight oil to get better fuel economy and or free up horsepower? not trying to pick a fight, just sayin.

The guy who tuned my bike here in the UK gave me the option of a set up to run on lower octane, but recommend that I used shell v power 99 octane, he said Harley's here love it and his graph did not disappoint.
