Really?? I read that the regular is pretty stiff on the tush.

I like the IST, but the site says they don't make it for the breakout. Just the solo and the two up, you can add gel or airhawk, pay extra, and wait longer for custom delivery.

Yes really. The gel seat I had was firmer. Now it was also slightly narrower because of the bike, but not really much different.
This was the gel seat I had on my Blackline.

The Breakout seat is very soft, but was too flat for me. The Danny Grey seats are all more firm that stock, but not in an uncomfortable way. The extra support is nice.

No gel, or air hawk here.
Mine is the solo buttcrack, with custom stitching. It is the last seat I'm buying for this bike. Finally, a seat I can sit on for more than an hour.

OK, here are a few pics of the DG seat I had completely redone by a local shop. Compare these pics with my other pics posted earlier in this thread. Those other pics are of a brand new DG seat. The following pics are of a seat with over 6 thousand miles on it ... and I'm a Large Human Being ... 6'4", 275 lbs ...

This is what my local upholsterer did with the stock seat (with gel):

That looks good. Maybe your size had something to do with the issues with the other seat? Did you tell them that info when you ordered it? I know they have a lot of different leather to choose from there as I have been to their shop. Also, I don't get why you wouldn't call them and explain your problems before just tossing cash at another solution. Sherry is pretty easy to work with and typically very accommodating.
