Default swingarm question

Wassup everyone, I have a 1999 heritage and was wondering if a 2006 softail swingarm would fit? The reason why I wanted to switch swingarms is because it is a 12.5" and fits a 240/250 tire. The swingarm is from a 06 softail screaming eagle (not sure what model). Oh yeah it is an OEM Harley swingarm... THNX & LMK Aloha Jay

I believe the frame is wider in the rear too.. the models that came with a 240 rear also had wider frames as well. There is more to adding a big tire to the rear as you also have to space the primary out as well.

Will it actually fit a 240? I have a 200 on my 2006 Deuce and it's a very tight squeeze. I didn't know that HD made anything that would accept a tire that large at that time period? I know they consider the oem 160 on my big big at the time.

Don't believe it will fit...to get a 240/250 in a 99 frame you have to have an offset in the swingarm to clear the chain/belt...and I have never seen an OEM swingarm that has that...I am presently running a 250 in a 13" wide swingarm and it barely clears.

The only screaming eagle I know of with a 240 tire is a '09 springer softail. If that's what you have, I don't believe it will fit. It's the same as a Breakout/Rocker which has a 2" wider frame.

Where'd you get the swingarm from?

You need everything in this kit to make it work.
