I looked into this a lot because of how cheap all of this stuff is now. The trouble I was finding was the depth of the drop in projectors. I did not come across any that would be relatively easy and fit in the stock headlight. I'm sure you could pull something from an oem headlight and make it work, but it won't be drop in, or near plug and play.

Careful with those "blue" lights. Cops dont like blue lights as it replicated their lights.

Only a matter of time before you get pulled over and demanded to change them out...Just sayin. Happened to me on a truck I had.

Simple answer is No, only because they will not last as long as LEDs.

LEDs are low power, low heat and long lasting.

HID's has none of these characteristics.

So you just used the stock reflector and all that just plugs right in? You said you rewired the harness and used a different switch, I'm assuming it can be wired in completely to the stock harness and switch without fear of overheating anything?

Yeah, all plug and play. Just tucked ballast in bucket and switch is for starting. They say low voltage starts mess with them so the switch is to turn them off for starting

You don't need the extra switch if you use a relay.

So if I order the daymaker, I just remove the stock bulb and plug the new day maker… Do I need to add another switch?

Been thinking about this one: http://www.futurevisionhid.com/7-inc...headlight.html or http://www.futurevisionhid.com/produ...headlight.html

Anybody try it yet?

They do use less power than the stock bulbs do, but they get very hot! The only problem I've seen with LED's is they have such a narrow field of projection that you wind up with a "pencil" beam like a spotlight.

I just ordered a kit for my Blackline, and one for my dad's Street Bob so I'll see how neat I can get the wires and ballast looking lol.
