Im seeing a lot of you Deluxe owners with round air cleaner covers, and am wanting to know where you're getting them. They really make the Deluxe look a little more "old school". Are they making your bikes run any better, I know they look a lot better. Help!
Not a Deluxe, but I went with Arlen Ness AC Cover since I got the Big Sucker underneath. I liked the grooved one (instead of smooth) to match the engine.
After I got my Stage 1 installed, I got my round cover from the local HD dealer. J&P Cycles sells them as well. But, I have since changed it. I took the cover off and just mounted the air cleaner trim to the filter. Tomorrow, I will be getting the K&N filter and swapping out the stock one from the Stage 1. I'm still undecided if I want to put the round cover back on, or just use the trim. Here's a pic I took today:
The HD dealers have the round old style air cleaners they cost about $50.00 but will not fit on the stock deluxe set up. If you have the Harley stage one set up it will go right on you also have to purchase the round rubber gasket that goes between the air cleaner and the round air cleaner cover it takes up the slack and will keep it from rattling
