Default 2005 Softail owners read and poll

apperently there was a problem with the 2005 sofatil valve seals. Alott of them were leaking mine was one of them i ended up with a new set of piston, piston rings and valve seal all replace complements of the moco. It did help i work at a dealership at a time so. Iwas wondering how many people had there valve seals replaced on their 05s. I rode the ***** off my bike thats probally why i had to get the top redone. new pistons and rings were probally now a nessesory but it was nice

21,000 on mine and no problems. same thing with the guage. I just to it off and used an Arlen Ness dummy to plug the hole.

No problems yet here either. Been hearing about this since late '05. The MoCochanged the valve seals as soon asthe problem became known. They won't help you unless you have an oil consumption problem directly related to the seals and, I'm told, once your warranty is up you are on your own. I figure if it rears it's ugly head I'll have a good excuse to pull the heads for porting!
