2005 valve seals -- Damage?

My 2005 Heritage was very hard to turn over when starting (I assume because of oil in the cylinder) and it smoked quite a bit. When I took it in for the 5k service, they said the valve seals were bad and they replaced them. Could this condition have caused more damage that will be noticed later (like when the warranty expires)??

No. As long as they checked everything when the job was being done - like bent valves, etc. Must have had a lot of oil in there.

I had a front spark plug fouling and took it in to the dealer. They said my valve seals were bad and there was a bulletin on that so I got it taken care of. Of course, while it was in there, I had the 95" kit done and saved some $$ while they had it apart for the seals. Mine is a 2005 Wide Glide.
