Default Kuryakyn Levers

Just put on Kuryakyn Zombie Levers now the bike will not start unless it's in nuetral. I took them back apart and inspected it. The switch is good but the lever barely misses contacting the switch. Is this common with these levers. The only reason I want it to work is if I stall out and need to get moving in a hurry.

I have no advice on your particular install but I have had the levers on my bones for about 2 years and love them. They fit my hand great and really are a solid lever. Good choice!

I discovered the same thing recently. I put the Kury leather braided (no fringe!) Trigger levers on mine. I posted about it at the time and someone told me about the little 'button' thing that's on the OEM levers that makes that connection. I REALLY like these levers but have thought about going back to the stock ones.

After further inspection there is a visible casting line on the lever and low spot where it should contact the switch. At the advise of Kuryakyn they are defective and will be exchanged with JP Cycles.

Received the replacements today from JP Cycles. Must be a bad batch as the tab does not trigger the switch. Another return to JP.

CajunIron,

Between the Lindby Magnumbar and the Kuryakyn levers I would leave the bike stock or use HD parts until this bad juju passes you by.

Good luck. Sounds like you need it.

Check out ironbraid.com. They have leather braided trigger levers. Work without issue on 2012 Slim.
