Default Passenger Floorboard Options

I was going to put the Harley Floorboard kit on my 2004 Fatboy. I really do not like the way the stick out frome the bike. I have removable saddlebags and it does not look to bad when they are on. But I do not like the saddlebags except for long trips. My wife likes the feel of the floorboards because she feels more stable with them. Can anybody give me some suggestions on what to do? I was thinking aboutsome kind of Kuryakyn but I have not had much experience with their floorboards. Any help is much appreciated.

I came up with this affordable and nice solution which I call "the toe-rest pegs" it worked great for my girl andsince the toe-rest are inclined in a 30 degree angle, she even has support for sudden braking, which you don't provide with floor-boards.

Take a look,

Mimo.

I have the same concerns regarding the passenger floorboard kits. I believethefloorboardslook better installed on a bigger bike, not a Fatboy.

I'm leaving foot pegs onbut am thinknig of adding the Kuryakyn retractable passenger pegs for Softail - #7925. But, these do come with a hefty price tag. I'm wondering if anyone out there have hadthese installed and whattheir passenger feels about them?

Those floor boards are also good for keeping the bike off the floor. I remember a couple years back I knocked over my dads Heritage Softail and those boards are the only things that held it up. If it werent for those boards the bike would have beenpretty messed up.

The stock pegs do the same thing. Few years back, I was involved in an accident 50+ mph, those pegs saved the bike!

Will those floorboards work on a Deluxe? Where did you order them from?
