It's your Canadian taxes, not harley.

Camaros are made in Canada, they still cost much more to buy in canada than us. Your first mistake was paying full price, if you would have negotiated better the couple hundred more for the dash wouldn't be an issue. And the dude wasn't bitching, he was just pointing out a fact.

Chill out with the pm me and I'll teach you a lesson crap, not cool!

I am only going to guess that everyone else outside of Canada that had to pay the same way we would be a little put off as well ....As for the YAKKING and WASTED PHONE CALLS ... everyone is entitled to do as they choose ... YOU however choose to BITCH about a fellow pissed off Canadian that paid full price for a new HD and feels he is getting screwed for parts and accessories based on what everyone else pays cross border ..... JMOPJA if your not sure what that stands for , PM me!!!!!! I would be glad to clear it up for ya !!!!

I would be giving Deely HD Canada **** for the inflated pricing. They decide how much parts should sell In Canada for example, 67700144 daymaker led in 2013 is $450 and 2014 it's $510 plus taxes and in US is $399. Oh well you pay to play an imported motorcycle. It's good to make friends at the HD stealership in order to get the staff discounts

In my business I ship stuff to canada all the time so I know the ends and outs of how to get it there without customs taking a bite out of the customer, so for a small fee (for my time) then I may be able to help.

On a side note is the situation the same regarding Asian or euro bike parts?

Certainly would be in Europe. VAT in Germany is 19%, 20 in UK. That's paid by the end consumer.

Where in Ontario are you? Lots of dealers near the borders.

My customers in the UK rarely (if ever) pay VAT or customs fees even though I am often sending them orders totaling hundreds of dollars. It all comes down to how the shipping labels are filled out, per info that I got directly from a Royal Mail employee who also happens to be a customer of mine.

Hi,

Yeah same deal here in Australia, we run about 20-30% higher that the US price list, pretty much never any discounting by dealers either, can occasionally get postage thrown in

Ebay becomes the best option for a lot of stuff, i tried these shipping/posting agents and they in on the scam as well
Thanks
Mirrmu

Also, if you can get the seller to ship USPS vs UPS or FEDEX, you don't pay brokerage fees. Up to 70lbs.
