Help with 180 install
Five months ago I ordered an 18x5.5 Renegade wheel,180 Metzeler,Hawg Halters driveside brake.During the winter I cut the frame horns and mocked up a few fenders and struts.if I can't be riding I like to be wrenching.
Hawg Halters was supposed to do the spacer configuration so when I got it I would just bolt everything up.
I received it on Tuesday and started to install it.Everything looked cool until I realized the belt was digging into the tire, bad.
By my measurements I need about 3/16" to have clearance of 1/16" between the belt and tire.
I took the wheel off with the rotor and sprocket on it.
Took a straight edge from one side of the tire across the other, the pulley is riding about 1/8 inside the straight edge.
This tells me there is no way this setup will work.
Contacted HH but No real answers yet so I am asking for some solutions.
I have a lot of Hawg Halters stuff and love their products, somehow there was a mistake made but no biggie, just want to fix it.
The best solution I can come up with is to add 3/16" to the pulley side spacer, take 3/16" from the right side spacer, and a 3/16" pulley spacer to keep proper pulley alignment.
My other option is I have a narrow pulley from an 06 FXST(same tooth count).
The edge of that pulley is 1/16 farther to the left than my setup now.
Could get a narrow belt and try that route but that defeats the purpose, but would it be a solid setup?
My questions are:
1)Is this a safe amount to offset the tire and still have the bike track true?
2)I am assuming they have the pulley set to proper alignment,is there a way to tell if the rear pulley is true to the drive pulley?
Any help, suggestions, opinions are all very much appreciated.

Do you remember how much you offset the wheel?
I'm just wondering how far you can safely offset the wheel and not have pulling problems with the bike.
