Cruising down the freeway on my Heritage at 75mph is like sitting in a recliner with autopilot. I was thinking about buying a SG or EG but decided I'm going to go the soft tail bagger route. Not going to lower it, just probably do stretched bags with the Cycle Visions kit and a fairing.
The Softail rides like a dream until you run out of suspension travel. I love my Heritage. Now with a passenger you will use that suspension much more rapidly. My wife loves the look of the Heritage, but she wants to ride on the Limited.
80zeder, next time your out riding around and killing some time why don't you find and stop into a custom upholster? It's amazing on all the choices one can have when getting a stock seat reworked. It blew my mind on the amount of types of padding out today and the colors! I had no idea there were so many shades of white. For me, I went with the gelfoam, not the actual gel that is in inserts. It does not get hot when out in the sun like the gel does.
NOTE: ANYTHING gets hot when it sits out in the sun all day when it's 90 or 100 degrees out! But in my opinion the gelfoam does not even get as hot as a stock seat. This is the actual gelfoam used in bed mattresses that is cool to the touch and keeps you from sweating all night, I THINK!
