Tony - you mean well, we all know that. It's just overboard.
Nothing wrong with sending people JD's way and letting people know what a great product he makes and what great customer service he has (and I agree 100% - great product / exceptional customer service)
But maybe just tone it down a bit. It almost seems "fake" or like you get a kick back (which I know you don't)
Maybe just let people know about it, and if they are interested - hit em' with a pm
Exactly. Tony, it would be one thing if you posted and said a few words to recommend the ShotgunShock. But when every other post from you is a novel length advertisement for the thing it just starts to seem like spam. It is great that you are happy with the product, and if someone asks you what you think of it, then telll them. But when you come into threads that are not asking, and post a reply that takes 5 minutes to read it turns people off. Both Shotgun owners, and people who are on the fence. Just my .02

Tony is very passionate about the Shotgun Shock and I have come to expect those kinds of replies from him. When I first started reading the forum I used to skip over a lot of his replies, however now I have come to a point that I can enjoy them. It seemed like about maybe 6 months ago or so that people were trying to out do each other and Tony in promoting the Shotgun Shock and if you were to reply to any of these threads and say that you were not interested in one or that you couldn't justify the expense or god forbid you were happy with your current set up that wasn't a Shotgun Shock you were outright attacked. I have to say it made me not want to get one and I started to look at the other options, the more I looked the better JD's system looked. While it still hasn't lived up to some of the claims I've heard made on this forum, it is a vast improvement over the stock suspension, I have had some issues and JD has been right there to discuss them and explain them. The way it has gotten on this forum to where you can't bring up an issue you are having or even have an objective discussion about the Shotgun Shock without being badgered or accused of doing something wrong is totally out of hand. In my life I have learned more from those that don't agree with me than those that do, if things are discussed in a civilized manor.

I agree. Say what you want about long-winded, repetitive posts, but he ain't wrong.
I've found the SS to be everything he says it is...

Next time you take a pic of your bike with air ride you should take a pic of it slammed
good point
noob question, my question about shotgun and other air rides, when its all slammed down, does it still offer the same comfort you have as if its all the way up ? I cant figure it out in my mind how the air ride works compared to stock shocks..
If you have it slammed you will have a hard ride, as there is no cushion. Same with having it extended completely up, where both air chambers are full, there would be no bounce.
wait, sorry ..English is my second language.
did you mean if you I have shotgun shocks all the way slammed down it will be a hard ride ?
Correct. If you have it slammed there is no air in the shocks and you are riding on the bump stops. You can have the bike lowered significantly from stock height and still have a decent ride though just not slammed all the way.
