Default 07 Fatboy - Chrome Upper Slider Cover???

I want to chrome out my front end on my 07' Fatboy but I'm having a hard time finding the right part for the Chrome Upper Slider Covers. According to the parts catalog (page 310), part #45963-97 will fit the 07 Fatboy.

So I went and bought all the parts from the dealer. I brought the parts home and read on the 45963-97 boxthat it will not fit 2007 FLSTF.

If I go to the HD site and look up parts for just my bike it doesn't list part 45963-97 as a part that will fit my bike. But it does list part # 46116-03 "Bar & Shield" Logo Upper Fork Slider Covers.

So my question is for you 07 Fatboy owners with chromed front ends, which upper fork slider covers did you use? Did you use the 45963-97 and just dremel out the inside portion like the stock parts have?

Hey FACTION95, I ran into the same exact problem! There was an error in the first print of the HD Parts and Accessories Catalog with the part numbers for the '07 Fat Boy...the numbers have been corrected inHD addendums. I'm surprised your parts guy didn't catch that...it was a big deal at my local HD dealership here in Pensacola.

Anyway...here's what you need to get the correct Chrome Upper Slider Covers with the 'notch' cut out for an '07 Fat Boy,HD PN 48752-07 and HD PN 48753-07. When I purchased mine I had to getthem individually...gofigure! They are $36.08 each at zanotti.com.

I hope this helped...

Steve

Thank you so much guys. I was going crazy trying to find the correct part. I can't seem to find HD PN 48752-07 and HD PN 48753-07 anywhere. Think the parts guy at my dealer will know what I'm talking about?

Hey FACTION95...

They (the part numbers) won't be in thecatalog...they are on the update sheets. The Harley-Davidson Parts Departments get update sheets all the time from the MoCo (adding PNs, deleting PNs, correcting PNs). The part numbers I gave you come up on the Zanotti site.

Come to think of it...I just got a mini-catalog in the mail a few days ago with a lot of updates for the '07 models. I didn't check to see if these specific parts were in there, but I would assume so.

I can't believe that your parts guys don't know about this!

Good luck...

Steve
