I have the optional backrest on my Softail Deluxe and I can't figure out how to take it off. I saw an ad on ebay and the seller said he had the key for his backrest? Did I miss something here? Did I leave a key in the box?



....never mind! figured it out

 

I have the detachable backrest and it just comes off by pressing both buttons one on each side of the rear latch. I know you can buy locking latches from your harley dealer. Look at the end of your locking latches if they have a hole then you probably have the ones that lock.

 

I found the box with the instruction sheet in it. I am a dope.
