Slim/FLS "Touring Package"
When I purchased my bike, I had some money to spend; being new there was a ton of crap I didnt know...like options like saddlebags and the like were, um, SLIM pickings. Hadnt found the great resources I have now. So as such, I didnt want to alter my Slim in terms of looks. To put on the detachable bags and what not, you had to relocate the tail lights and plate...I didnt want to do that.
So I decided to build out a "touring package" fender. I found the major parts I needed on the Devil (aka eBay)- fender, fender struts, saddlebags- and the rest (hardware) I got at my dealer (new bike owner = 10% discount + rewards points on purchases). The saddlebags are the $900 ones I got used for $450...pretty much stole em (they need some TLC, but they are good shape) at that price.
So I got the fender built out, lights work, hardware mounted. So today I put em on Blanche (my Slim) until I get my Bowman mounted next week. Here are some pix:

I must say that comparing my Leatherworks saddlebags to the H-D ones- sure glad I didnt pay full price for them new!! Workmanship is less than quality. Shame on H-D for a substandard product. I am going to post up on their site a review...will see if they will allow it to post. I have been happy with pretty much all fo their swag, but those saddlebags are not comparable to Leatherworks, I can say that much.

A LOT more room in the saddlebags, but those are much lower quality than the LeatherWorksInc bags.
