It rode awesome until the engine seized about 10 miles from the dealership. lol
And you think YOU have bad luck with bikes.
It was a manufacturer defect and my dealership is awesome. They think they will have the new motor in and the bike ready by this weekend but if not, the following week.
I was just rolling along on the highway taking my prize home and it blew. I went from cloud nice to devastated in about 3 seconds.
what I was talking about there with the fender IM.I used to run a Old Ironhead with no rear tire and 5.0 15 car tire till one day the tread picked up and slung a piece of glaas into my back at 80.Damn did I bleed.
Those Mr Lucky mirrors are identical to the Licks. Pretty cool looking in brass.
That sucks about the glass. Still, I will take my chances because I love that fender being off - at least for now.
I checked on a bunch of mirrors and decided on the ones from speed dealers. They are solid brass and a lot of what I have on my bike is solid brass so I would rather pay the extra and get them solid.
And what made it worse is that I had a really nice rigid bobber last year that I absolutely loved but it was constantly breaking down so I ended up selling it after a year of missing ride after ride. That is why I ended up going to fuel injection and then the first ride home the ****er blows up. lol
I have Choker 500-16's coming in Friday that will go on the front and back. The side walls are 5 inches so I am very happy that I found a tire for the look I wanted. That is going to take up a lot more room on the front end and be symmetrical from front to back which is what I was looking for. Note: Do not ship tires overnight unless you want to break the bank. It cost me 261 bucks to overnight them but before you beat me up, understand that I have missed way too much riding time and I want to be riding on Saturday.
My swing arm bag showed up from Mother Road Customs and matches the seat perfectly. I love it. The mirror should be in Friday, as well.
I will take pics this weekend as these changes should finish the bike for the season. I will powder coat the belt sprocket but not until the winter.
