I will need a new helmet before I ride again…so any suggestions on a good one?
The one that I was wearing the day of the accident was a LS2 Modular helmet…I don't remember the model number but I liked it… but now that I need a new one…I would like to get your opinion… maybe one with bluetooth.. any suggestion?

While the modular helmets are handy, I avoid them, because I don't think any of them are tough enough to qualify for a recent Snell rating. If I'm going to go to the bother of wearing a helmet, I figure it might as be one with proven effectiveness.
Very glad you are ok...the bike can be fixed. I know how you feel...went down in sand years ago, not fun...
Also, my rocker got seriously tagged in a parking lot the other day, just before I left for laconia...my bike was nearly mint...out of order...
Fix it and ride safe.

Only a FF would be more effective. The modular helmets offer a little more protection than an open face. The rotating/locking chin bar is why they don't get the snell rating. It's not as strong as a one piece FF chin bar.
Ouch, ouch, and OUCH! That goes for your arms, and your bike! Looks like they have you in a comfortable bed though. Hope you got a hot nurse and a few feel good pills for the pain, although your bike repair may hurt worse than the road rash. My condolences.
Glad you were hurt any worse, gravel & sand are my biggest concern on the twisties around here. Hit sand years a go, screwed up my ankle, could'nt ride for a long time. Heal up quick.
