Default Cover question

I have read several posts, but the dealership now has me confused. I'm going to remove the cam cover, trans cover, and the whole outer primary, prep them, paint them and reinstall them.

Aren't they all simply unbolt, take off, new gasket, reinstall covers, follow torque sequence, add lost fluids, done????

Yes. I just did all three a few days ago. The outer primary gasket wasn't cheap. Threading the cable into the side cover takes some patience also. You will have a little fluid loss when you remove the cam timing cover, not much but you need a catch pan. Don't forget the 2 little tower gaskets behind the inspection cover on the primary if you have it. Other than that, pretty straight forward.

Good luck with your project.
